In their last match, the Tigers were up against the Pune Devils. Bowling first, a couple of strong spells from Fazalhaq Farooqi and Karim Janat that consisted of just 36 runs and 2 wickets from 4 overs made sure that the Devils could only get to 115. What can I say about the Qalandars except that they have been absolute beasts so far? Paying no heed to doubters, they seem to just be steamrolling every opponent they meet. In their last match, they went up against the Maratha Arabians and got similar results. Bowling first, a brilliant 3-for from Sohail Tanvir and economical spells from Chris Jordan and Ahmed Daniyal set them up for a target of only 102, and although they lost wickets at regular intervals, cameos by Sharjeel Khan (28), Ben Dunk (26), and Sohail Akhtar (20) were enough to pull them through with 4 wickets and 11 deliveries to spare.

QAL Key players

• Sohail Akhtar: The captain had a comparatively poor game last time around, but he will no doubt bounce back.

• Ben Dunk: The Australian keeper finally seemed to have found form for the first time since the end of the PSL, and we hope he will continue with his hard-hitting ways.

• Chris Jordan: He may have trouble finding a spot in the English team as of late, but he is definitely doing the job for the Qalandars.

• Sohail Tanvir: After his 3-for, he will have the confidence to try more things and hopefully obtain more success.
