Gazi Group Chattogram vs Gemcon Khulna Prediction analysis: It’s not every day that a team from Chattogram gets to beat one from Dhaka in cricket - especially in such comprehensive, dominating fashion. Yet, Gazi Group Chattogram have made a statement by absolutely thrashing Dhaka. Next up, they’ll play another team that fell victim to the apparent dark horse of the tournament in Minister Rajshahi. Gemcon Khulna were gifted a victory by Fortune Barishal on the first matchday, but Rajshahi provided no such quarter. Now Khulna will be even more desperate for a win, as only Dhaka have been underperforming more, and given their lineup, people expect a lot more from Khulna. As far as dream starts go, Chattogram couldn’t have asked for much better. In their first match of the competition, they decimated Dhaka, who were one of the favourites coming into this tournament. Despite a commendable 40 off 23 by Mohammad Naim, Dhaka’s usual giants fell one by one to see them bowled out for a laughable 88 in just 16.2 overs. It’s not like one particular bowler was having an exceptional day; all 6 bowlers used divided up the wickets, with four picking up two each and the other two taking one apiece. In return, Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar blazed Chattogram’s way to victory with 55 deliveries and 9 wickets in hand.

Gemcon Khulna Preview & Form

Lightning doesn’t often strike twice, and Khulna weren’t saved by a grievous captaining error at the death when they had a subpar performance this time around. Choosing to bat first, Khulna once again lost the big guns for very little only to have the late middle order take them to a relatively respectable position. In return, young Rajshahi captain Najmul Hossain Shanto justified his selection with a cracking 55 from just 34. A few other cameos followed, and Rajshahi took the match with 2.4 overs and 6 wickets to spare. Khulna badly needs to address their batting woes before it’s too late.

GGC vs GKH Predictions

There’s nothing Chattogram would like more than to thump Khulna as a followup to Dhaka. Expect Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das to get their bats ablaze, while Mosaddek Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman repeat their excellent bowling.

Khulna has to treat their match against Rajshahi as a wake-up call, and get their act together. Expect Ariful Haque and Mahmudullah Riyad to bat well, while Shahidul Islam and Rishad Hossain pick up wickets.
