Yet, here we are with the underdogs facing last year’s favourites Guyana Amazon Warriors in the second semi final of this year’s altered playoffs. The Zouks have been terrific at times, and not so impressive at others, but one thing’s for sure: they’ve been exciting. Guyana on the other hand had a pretty average start, but picked up pace midway through to show the world what they’re capable of. With their bowlers more or less consistent, the onus will be on the batsmen to set up a good target or chase whatever’s on the board with skill, conviction, and restraint. Even then, they will have to reach deep into their bag of tricks to hold this Guyana lineup back.

Unless you are Virat Kohli himself, you can’t be more frustrated than Guyana are at their domestic T20 league results. Second 5 times and third twice, they will stop at nothing to reach that summit this time.
