Asked to field, they put on a solid bowling performance, with Dushmantha Chameera and Lakshan Sandakan’s triple hauls being helped by Isuru Udana’s stereo strikes to bowl Bangladesh out in the 49th over. However, that was the last bit of triumph the visitors had as the only batsmen among them to cross into the 20s were Danushka Gunathilaka and Pathum Nissanka. Before long, the Lankan Lions found themselves wincing at 140/9 before the rain put them out of their misery via DLS.
