On the other hand, playing their 2nd match in less than 24 hours, fatigue will definitely have an effect on Islamabad’s performance as they look to undo the damage 3 defeats and one no result have done to their chances of staying in the playoff spots. Flying high after a solid start to their PSL campaign, the Multanis will have been brought to the ground with Friday’s narrow escape from a probable defeat. Nevertheless, they still have the muscle to resume their flight. Proteas Rilee Rossouw will be intent on undoing the damage a golden duck at home last week did to his average, and a bunch of other batsmen who failed will also want to prove their worth. Multan Sultans have looked hungry to get their second PSL title this season, and that hunger will have to reappear against their northern opponents. They managed to beat Islamabad United twice last season, but were beaten in the three other encounters in their last 5. Expect Rilee Rossouw to get his mojo back, with Moeen Ali also hitting hard, while the latter also does well with the ball in combination with South African spinner Imran Tahir.

After having flattened Multan at their home in their only loss of PSL 2020 earlier in the season - courtesy of openers Ronchi and Munro wrecking the bowling - Islamabad will be looking to repeat the feat at home. While they have a strong batting presence, their bowling will have to step up if they are to chase those elusive top-two spots in the league. Expect Munro, Ronchi, and David Malan to kick it up with the bat, while Faheem Ashraf and Amad Butt step up with the ball.
