At the time of writing, it’s the current league leaders versus the current bottom feeders. Delhi Capitals have been excellent so far, being the only team with more than two matches under their belts to go without a defeat. On the flip side, Sunrisers Hyderabad are the only team to not have won a match yet. The funny thing about this matchup is that both teams are in a surprising slot on the table. Delhi isn’t a team that finds itself at the top often, and neither are the Sunrisers used to being last. Nevertheless, there isn’t much separating the two teams, and the match has every bit of potential to be amazing. Before the proceedings ensue, let’s take a closer look at the two teams.

Delhi Capitals Preview & Form

With a comprehensive victory over Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals have pushed themselves above the rest of the teams. Unlike Delhi teams of old, this Delhi seems confident, positive, and able. A slew of excellent local batsmen form a solid batting lineup with a healthy mix of bowlers complimenting them. In their last match, Prithvi Shaw led the way with Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer providing good support to take the team to a healthy 175. In the other inning, Every bowler except Avesh Khan contributed with either wickets or a low economy rate to restrict CSK to a pitiful 131. If Delhi can continue such form, there’s really no stopping them. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview & Form

Things have not been pleasant for last year’s runners-up. Their first match was a batting collapse and the second was just a juiceless performance. Overall, the team hasn’t been able to score a total of 300 runs yet from two matches. What makes it worse is that in their last match, they were only 4 down, but could still only score 142. Wriddhiman Saha played a bizarre, ODI-esque inning while David Warner and ManishPandey weren’t that much better. KKR toppled the target with ease - 7 wickets and 2 overs in hand. If SRH want to contest for a playoff spot, they need to get their wits together right away.

DC vs SRH Match Predictions

The taste of leading is addictive, and Delhi Capitals want more of it. Expect Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw to lead the charge with the bat, while Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada take control with the ball.
