Trinbago Knight Riders Preview & Form
What’s there to say about the Knight Riders that hasn’t already been said? They have been absolutely phenomenal this season, looking not only strong but utterly dominant. Given the form of most players - especially Kieron Pollard - there’s no reason why they won’t be able to extend their success past the group stages. In their last match, they defeated the Zouks yet again to continue their 5-year unbeaten run against the St Lucia side. Pollard starred, of course, but there were plenty of other contributors who can be counted on moving forward. Almost everyone with any knowledge of cricket can understand that they are the overwhelming favourites for this match.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots T20 Preview
It’s not as though the Patriots have been absolutely horrific this season - a lot of their matches were very close with the Patriots barely losing out. That being said, finishing is one of the most important aspects of cricket, and the standings are as they are for a reason. Repenting and regretting in hindsight aside, the Patriots could still bow out with their heads held high if they win this one, taking the Knight Riders’ spree away and also showing the other teams that the Trinbago side is very much mortal after all.
Match Prediction
Ask any sportsperson and they’ll tell you that there’s nothing like an unbeaten run. Trinbago will definitely want to continue theirs to make it 10 out of 10. Expect Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard to run rampant with the bat, while Dwayne Bravo and, again, Kieron Pollard get the wickets.
With literally nothing to lose, the Patriots might finally play with the peace of mind that would have helped them had it come earlier. Expect Rayad Emrit and Sheldon Cottrell to pair up to knock down batsmen, while Ben Dunk finally opens up big with help from Evin Lewis.
