Next up in their route to that are the Zouks, who themselves just faced their second defeat at the hands of a dominant Trinbago Knight Riders. While the Patriots’ first win was the result of excellent batting, in the case of the Zouks, their defeat was basically nature paying them back for the win they were availed by the same DLS calculations against Barbados. It’s unfortunate and disheartening to lose a match due to the elements interfering, but the Zouks can at least remind themselves that they were favoured by the same earlier in the season. Every Cinderella run has an end, but for the Zouks, their defeat to TKR doesn’t have to be that. With 3 wins still under their belt, even another 2 from their remaining 5 matches could see them through to the playoffs. For that purpose, the Patriots will definitely be a team they would fancy to beat. If Mohammad Nabi keeps up his form - and maybe gets promoted up the order so he can start hitting hard before the run rate becomes a problem - they might have a solid chance. To that end, some improvement by the other batsmen would also be most welcome.
